WHAT ARE THE KEY RULES FOR THE CARE, MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE OF SOLID WOOD FURNITURE?

To maintain the beauty and durability of SÓHA furniture, we recommend following these rules:

• You need to wipe off the dust with a dry cloth and touch the surface only with a soft cloth such as flannel, velvet, suede or other special rags, the packaging of which is marked as “for furniture”. In some rare cases, you can apply partial wiping of furniture with a damp cloth moistened with a simple solution of water and soap.
• Wooden furniture should be protected from various mechanical shocks. Do not forget that decorative elements of furniture also need proper operation and maintenance, for example – elements made of metal or natural leather don’t like heat, direct sunlight, active chemical environments, whether acidic or alkaline, excess of water and cold.
• Keep furniture away from acetone, solvents and other chemicals. Do not use detergents and abrasive powders as there is a possibility that they can react chemically, scratch the varnish or accelerate the aging of the tree. Pay attention to the composition of the products while buying them for cleaning and caring for wooden furniture.
• Do not place wet, cold and hot objects on the wooden surface of your furniture as this can lead to white spots on the surface.
• You should periodically lubricate moving fittings, door hinges, etc. Some fittings should be periodically replaced with a new one. Do not forget to periodically adjust hinges, locks and other fittings, as well as tighten fasteners, nuts, bolts and screws.

WHAT TO DO IF THE PRODUCT CHANGES COLOR?

Discoloration of products made from natural materials is a normal process caused by their natural origin and should not be considered as a defect. Nothing is eternal, but with proper care the life of furniture and interior items can be extended.
